ABOUT US

We run production systems that handle real client data and real financial transactions — a SaaS platform, several client platforms, and a mobile app. These systems have faced real attack attempts before, not hypothetical ones, and security here is treated as core infrastructure, not an afterthought.

THE ROLE

This role owns our overall security posture — watching for attacks as they happen, responding fast when something does, and making sure our defences (server hardening, WAF rules, access control) actually hold up together, not just individually. You're the person who notices something is wrong before a client does.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Monitor our systems for intrusion attempts and unusual activity across servers, applications and network traffic
- Lead incident response when something does happen — contain it, investigate it, document it, and make sure it doesn't repeat
- Run vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with the development and server teams
- Own our overall security architecture — how Cloudflare, server hardening, application code review and access control work together, not as separate silos
- Set and enforce access control policy — who can reach what, and make sure it's actually followed, not just written down
- Review logs regularly, not just when something's already gone wrong
- Coordinate with our code auditor and server administrator so nothing falls in the gap between "that's not my layer"
- Keep an incident and vulnerability log — what happened, what we did, what changed after, so nothing repeats silently
- Advise on security for new features and integrations before they ship, not after




- Stay current on real, active threats relevant to our stack and industry — not theoretical ones

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in cybersecurity — security operations, incident response, or a security engineering role, real production experience
- Has actually handled a live security incident before, not just studied one
- Comfortable across infrastructure security — Linux servers, network security, WAF/CDN configuration (Cloudflare or similar)
- Understands application-level risk well enough to work with a code auditor, even if deep code review isn't your primary skill
- Understands financial/transaction-system risk — this business touches real money, and that changes what "critical" means
- Can write an incident report a non-technical founder can actually understand and act on
- Calm and methodical under real pressure — an active incident is not the time to panic or guess
- Discreet — what you see and handle here does not leave this room

BONUS POINTS
- CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar certification
- Experience with SIEM or log-monitoring tools
- Experience in fintech, crypto or payments security specifically
- Penetration testing experience, even informal

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
- Not a full-time code review role — that's a separate function you'll work alongside, not replace
- Not a policy-writing desk job — you're expected to actually watch, respond and fix
- Not a role for someone who needs to be told an incident is happening — you're the one who notices first
