Role Overview:

We are hiring a Microsoft 365 Cybersecurity Administrator for a leading MNC in Pune. You will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and improving security controls across the Microsoft 365 setting.

Responsibilities:

- Administer Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Manage endpoint security controls including Defender Antivirus, ASR, BitLocker, removable-media restrictions, and network/web protection.
- Monitor Microsoft Secure Score and review security configurations across Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
- Support Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Zero Trust principles.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Purview, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.
- Administer Insider Risk Management,



Communication Compliance, eDiscovery, and Audit requirements.
- Investigate data-loss incidents, unauthorized information sharing, and related policy violations.
- Coordinate with GRC, Legal, HR, and business stakeholders on information-protection and data-classification requirements.
- Monitor Defender XDR alerts and conduct proactive threat hunting using KQL and Advanced Hunting.
- Use PowerShell to automate security-administration activities and support Microsoft Graph-based integrations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- BE / ME degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, with at least 2-3 years hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 security technologies.
- Relevant certifications preferred: SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, or SC-100.
