K.J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre, a 550-bedded medical college and hospital in Sion, Mumbai, is hiring CSSD Technicians for its Central Sterile Supply Department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, sort, count and inspect used instruments and sets from OT, wards and other departments
- Carry out decontamination, cleaning and disinfection of instruments as per protocol
- Assemble, pack and label instrument sets and linen packs for sterilisation
- Operate autoclaves, ETO and plasma sterilisers as per standard operating procedures
- Monitor and record sterilisation cycles, and maintain chemical and biological indicator records
- Ensure proper storage and timely issue of sterile items to user departments
- Maintain CSSD registers, indent records and daily activity logs
- Check instruments for damage and report defects for repair or replacement
- Follow infection control, biomedical waste and patient safety protocols
- Support NABH documentation and audit requirements of the department

Requirements:





- 10+2 / Diploma or Certificate in CSSD / Sterilisation Technology / OT Technology
- 1–2 years of CSSD experience in a hospital preferred
- Knowledge of autoclave and ETO steriliser operation and sterilisation indicators
- Understanding of infection control and biomedical waste segregation
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot, humid working workplace
- Willingness to work rotational shifts is mandatory
