Responsibilities

- Receive, sort, and decontaminate used surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Perform cleaning using manual and automated methods as per standard operating procedures.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage.
- Assemble and pack instrument sets according to established guidelines.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as steam autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, and plasma sterilizers.
- Monitor and document sterilization parameters and maintain sterilization records.
- Ensure proper storage and distribution of sterile supplies to OT, wards, ICUs, and other departments.
