Immediate : CSSD Technician

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. A Diploma or Certificate in CSSD Technology, Sterilization Technology, or Operation Theatre (OT) Technology

- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital CSSD or clinical setup is an advantage, though entry-level roles accept freshers

Key Responsibilities &

- Duties

1. Decontamination &

- Cleaning

- Collect and receive used, contaminated surgical instruments and medical devices from various hospital departments.

- Sort and disassemble multi-part instruments for thorough cleaning.

- Manually clean delicate instruments or operate automated decontamination equipment like sonic washers, washer-disinfectors, and cart washers.

- Strictly adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) mandates when handling biohazardous materials

2. Inspection, Assembly &

- Packaging

- Inspect every instrument visually for cleanliness, functionality, defects, or damage.

- Assemble instruments back into specialized surgical trays or medical sets according to standard hospital recipes.





- Wrap and wrap-package sets using sterile barrier systems (wraps, pouches, or rigid containers) and include internal chemical indicators to track sterilization efficacy.

Sterilization

Processing

- Load and safely operate specialized sterilization equipment, including steam autoclaves, ETO (Ethylene Oxide) gas, and plasma sterilizers.

- Select the correct sterilization cycle depending on the material composition of the medical devices.

Quality

Assurance &

- Documentation

- Conduct and interpret daily physical, chemical, and biological indicator tests to verify machine effectiveness.

- Maintain meticulous logbooks of sterilization cycles, parameters (time/temperature), and load tracing numbers.

- Report equipment malfunctions or sterilization failures immediately to supervisors.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
