We are looking for a Costing & Quotation professional with 2–5 years of relevant experience in costing, quotation preparation, and commercial analysis, preferably from the corrugated packaging, paper, or manufacturing industry.
The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate product costing and quotations based on customer requirements, raw material prices, production processes, wastage, and required margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost sheets and quotations for corrugated boxes and packaging products.
- Calculate product costing based on:
- Kraft paper / paper board cost
- Paper GSM and BF
- Flute and board specifications
- Printing and lamination costs
- Die-cutting, stitching and pasting costs
- Labour and conversion costs
- Wastage and rejection
- Transportation and other applicable costs
- Analyse customer RFQs and prepare accurate and competitive quotations.
- Calculate material consumption and manufacturing cost for different box sizes and specifications.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase and Stores for costing inputs.
- Obtain and analyse vendor/raw-material prices for costing purposes.
- Calculate profit margins and selling prices.
- Review and revise quotations based on changes in raw material prices and customer requirements.
- Compare estimated costing with actual production costs and identify variances.
- Maintain costing sheets, quotation records and pricing databases.
- Support the management team in pricing decisions and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare costing-related MIS and reports as required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and product costing.
- Good understanding of manufacturing costing.
- Experience in quotation preparation and pricing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Valuable understanding of raw material, labour, overhead and conversion costs.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Candidate
- CMA / CMA Inter qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Costing / Quotation / Cost Accounting.
- Candidates from corrugated packaging, paper packaging, printing, FMCG packaging, or manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Knowledge of corrugated box manufacturing and paper costing will be an added advantage.
