About the Role:

Benne is a rapid-growing South Indian QSR chain, expanding aggressively across Mumbai and beyond. As we scale, maintaining tight control over food costs, vendor relationships, and wastage is critical to our success. We are looking for a hands-on Cost Controller who has done this in a real F&B; environment and is ready to own the numbers end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and control food costs, beverage costs, and overall COGs across all outlets
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly wastage — identify patterns and drive corrective action
- Work closely with the kitchen and operations teams to set and enforce portion standards
- Manage vendor negotiations: rates, credit terms, and contracts in coordination with the procurement team
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical counts against system records
- Prepare cost reports, variance analyses, and MIS dashboards for the Finance Controller




- Build and maintain standard recipes with costed BOMs; flag deviations immediately
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles for food and consumables
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or guest experience

What We're Looking For:

- 5–10 years of experience in a cost control or F&B; finance role, ideally in QSR, casual dining, or hospitality
- Strong grasp of food cost mechanics — recipes, yield, wastage, and purchase price variance
- Experience with vendor negotiations and procurement coordination
- Comfortable working with ERP/POS systems and building Excel-based MIS reports
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently across multiple locations
- A degree in Commerce, Finance, or Hotel Management; CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus
