Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cosmetic Formulator role based in Gurgaon.

The Cosmetic

Formulator will design and develop skincare formulations aligned with Kuja Care’s global-meets-local philosophy, adapting international trends and technologies to suit Indian skin and environmental conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting lab-based experiments, optimizing formulations for stability, safety, and efficacy, and documenting all tests and results in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaborating with R&D;, sourcing, and marketing teams to translate product concepts into scalable, manufacturable formulas, supporting technology transfer from lab to production.

The Cosmetic





Formulator will also stay up to date with global cosmetic science, ingredient innovations, and regulatory changes, and contribute to continuous improvement of existing product lines.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills and hands-on experience with cosmetic formulation equipment and procedures.
- Candidates should possess Research and Research and Development (R&D;) capabilities, including literature review, experimental design, and data analysis.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Formulation, including developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting skincare products for different skin types and conditions.
- Candidates should possess experience in Technology Transfer, including scaling formulas from lab to pilot and full production while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Degree in cosmetic science, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulations, safety standards, and stability testing protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
- Experience with active ingredients commonly used in global and Indian skincare (e.g., retinoids, acids, peptides, sunscreens) is an advantage.
- Robust attention to detail, documentation skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
