Role Description The Corporate Lawyer will provide part-time, remote legal support to Purewood’s management team, focusing on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with suppliers, customers, and partners; advising on corporate governance and compliance with applicable laws and regulations; and supporting cross-border transactions and export documentation.

The role also involves identifying legal risks in business operations, developing internal policies, assisting with dispute resolution, and coordinating with external counsel when needed.

Lawyer will collaborate closely with leadership, finance, and operations teams to ensure that business decisions align with legal requirements and best practices.

Qualifications

- Robust expertise in corporate and commercial law, including contract law and company law, with the ability to advise on governance and compliance.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, supply agreements, and international trade or export-related documentation.
- Ability to conduct legal research, interpret statutes and regulations, and communicate clear, practical guidance to non-legal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to manufacturing, exports, and international business operations, preferably in or involving India.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity, manage multiple matters, and prioritize deadlines effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) and valid legal qualification or bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction; prior in-house or law firm experience in corporate practice is preferred.
- Experience advising manufacturing or industrial companies is an advantage, along with a collaborative mindset and high professional ethics.
