- Hands on experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent MQ
- Handling partial success scenarios and distributed failures
- Message idempotency, retry strategies, and dead letter queues
- Strong understanding of HTTP status codes and error handling
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 and API key based security
- Proficiency in SQL and database interactions
- Strong logging, tracing, and debugging practices

- Airline / travel domain exposure
- Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
- API Gateway concepts, throttling, rate limiting

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for availability and aggregation.
- Implement event driven workflows using Kafka or messaging platforms.
- Handle partial success across multiple downstream protection carriers.
- Implement robust error handling aligned with application error codes.
- Ensure correct message ordering, idempotency, and resilience.
- Integrate with external carrier systems.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and traceability (transaction IDs).
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Operations teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
