✍️ What You'll Do
- Edit and proofread content across general news, companies, markets, technology, the economy, finance and corporate affairs
- Write sharp, accurate, SEO-friendly headlines and strap lines built for the web and social platforms
- Manage the homepage: prioritise, arrange and refresh stories through the day to keep it relevant and reader-friendly
- Sharpen grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity and flow, without flattening the writer's voice
- Maintain consistency in tone, style and brand voice across the desk
- Work closely with writers, reporters and the wider content team through the news cycle
? What We're Looking For
- Robust grounding in business journalism, with a firm command of English grammar, punctuation and style
- A sharp eye for headlines, someone who can craft one fast without sacrificing accuracy
- Hands-on experience with homepage curation and digital publishing platforms
- Meticulous attention to detail and a genuine instinct for what makes a story work
- Comfort with newsroom hours and shift-based workflows
