Experience: 5+ years in Control-M administration and support
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Control-M Administrator to manage, upgrade, and support Control-M environments. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with Control-M v19 or higher, expertise in Control-M agent installation and upgrades, and strong automation skills for script releases. This role requires solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, with a focus on RHEL7 and above, to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of the Control-M job scheduling environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Control-M Administration & Support
- Manage and administer Control-M environments (v19 or higher).
- Perform regular maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Control-M instances.
- Execute upgrades for Control-M, including server and agent installations.
- Upgrades & Patching
- Plan and implement Control-M version upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and operational continuity.
- Upgrade Control-M agents across Linux and Windows environments, managing configuration and compatibility checks.
- Automation & Scripting
- Develop and implement automation for Control-M script release processes.
- Use scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) to automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiencies, and streamline workflows.
- Linux (RHEL7+) & Windows OS Administration
- Perform system administration tasks on Linux (RHEL7 and higher) and Windows OS platforms.
- Troubleshoot OS-level issues and configure environments to support Control-M functionalities.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Control-M supports their requirements.
- Document all changes, upgrades, and processes for audit and knowledge-sharing purposes.
- Provide user training and guidance for Control-M best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Control-M Administration: Extensive experience with Control-M v19 or higher.
- Upgrade Experience: Proven experience in Control-M version and agent upgrades.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl for automation.
- Linux & Windows Administration: Solid skills in managing RHEL7+ Linux environments and Windows OS.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and troubleshooting skills for both Control-M and OS environments.
- Collaboration: Strong team player with good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification: Control-M certification is a plus.
- Cloud Exposure: Experience in cloud-based Control-M environments (AWS, Azure).
- Automation Tools: Knowledge of DevOps and automation tools like Ansible or Jenkins.
