Job Purpose The Contract Manager is responsible for developing, negotiating, administering, and managing contracts throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures contractual compliance, protection of company interests, mitigation of commercial risks, resolution of claims, and effective management of vendor performance while supporting project delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Development & Administration

- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, work orders, amendments, and service agreements.
- Develop standard contract templates and commercial terms for various categories of procurement.
- Ensure all contracts align with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.
- Maintain contract repository and ensure timely renewal, extension, or closure of contracts.

Commercial & Risk Management

- Identify contractual, commercial, and operational risks during pre-award and post-award stages.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate contractual safeguards.
- Monitor contractual obligations and ensure compliance by all stakeholders.
- Evaluate change orders, variations, claims, and commercial impacts.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, engineering, project, and procurement teams for contract execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual matters with internal and external stakeholders.

Claims & Dispute Resolution

- Manage contractor claims, variation requests, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and dispute resolution processes.
- Support arbitration, mediation, litigation, and settlement discussions when required.
- Ensure contractual documentation is maintained to support claim defenses and negotiations.





Compliance & Governance

- Ensure adherence to corporate governance, procurement policies, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct periodic contract audits and compliance reviews.
- Drive implementation of contract management best practices across business functions.

Performance Monitoring

- Track contractor performance against contractual KPIs, SLAs, and project milestones.
- Identify deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Generate contract status reports and dashboards for management review.

Key Deliverables

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Law, Commerce, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree/MBA preferred.
- Certification in Contract Management, Commercial Management, Procurement, or FIDIC will be an added advantage.

Experience For Senior Contract Manager

- 10-15+ years of experience in Contract Management, Commercial Management, Procurement, or Project Controls.
- Experience in EPC, Infrastructure, Industrial Parks, Manufacturing Facilities, Data Centers, Renewable Energy, or Large Capital Projects.

Technical Competencies

- Contract drafting and negotiation.
