- Prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes including pasta, pizzas, steaks, grills, salads, soups and sauces.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
- Follow standard recipes, portion control and food cost guidelines.
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place as per daily requirements.
- Monitor the quality and freshness of raw materials.
- Maintain proper stock levels and minimise food wastage.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams for timely food preparation.
- Assist in developing new dishes and menu items when required.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience as a Continental Chef in a restaurant or hotel.
- Good knowledge of Continental cuisine, cooking techniques and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
