Role Description The Content Creator will produce and adapt digital content for articles, social media, newsletters, and multimedia formats that align with TurkStart’s editorial focus on Türkiye’s business and cultural landscape. Day-to-day tasks include researching topics, pitching story ideas, drafting and revising copy, sourcing visuals, and collaborating with editors to ensure consistency in voice and quality.

The role involves interviewing stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and creatives, as well as repurposing existing material into engaging formats for different channels.

The Content





Creator will also support basic content planning, optimize content for audience engagement, and meet agreed deadlines. This is a contract role and is fully remote.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in content writing and storytelling for digital platforms, including articles, social posts, and short-form features.
- Ability to research topics related to business, entrepreneurship, travel, real estate, and culture, and translate insights into clear, engaging content.
- Experience with content planning and basic editorial strategy, including pitching ideas and aligning content with brand guidelines.
- Competence in editing and proofreading to ensure accurate, polished, and consistent content.
- Familiarity with digital media best practices, such as SEO fundamentals, audience engagement, and social media publishing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Turkish language skills are a robust plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Prior experience in journalism, digital media, or content creation focused on business, travel, or culture is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
