– RAN Consultant / 5G RAN Consultant Position: RAN Consultant / Senior RAN Consultant Experience: 10+ years Location: Bangalore / Client Location Domain: Telecom / Wireless / 4G LTE / 5G NR / Open RAN Role Summary We are looking for an experienced RAN Consultant to provide technical consulting, architecture, system integration, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting support for 4G LTE, 5G NR and Open RAN networks. The consultant will work with telecom operators, OEMs, system integrators and engineering teams to define solutions, analyze network performance, resolve complex technical issues and support RAN transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Provide technical consulting for 4G LTE and 5G NR RAN architecture and deployment. Analyze end-to-end RAN architecture covering UE, gNB/eNB, CU, DU and RU. Support 5G NSA and SA deployments and migration strategies.

Provide expertise in RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC and PHY layers. Analyze signaling and call flows for registration, attach, PDU session, handover, mobility and QoS. Support RAN system integration and validation activities.





Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (RCA) of complex RAN issues. Analyze RAN KPIs such as throughput, latency, BLER, RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, accessibility, retainability and mobility performance. Support RAN performance optimization, parameter tuning and feature validation.

Work with development, testing, RF, core, transport and deployment teams to resolve issues.

Review and interpret 3GPP specifications and translate requirements into technical solutions. Support O-RAN/Open RAN architecture, including CU/DU/RU, SMO, RIC and relevant interfaces.

Support Open

Fronthaul and O-RAN integration/testing where applicable. Current RAN architecture roles commonly include CU/DU/RU, RIC, SMO and O-RAN interfaces. Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, test strategies, reports and RCA documents. Participate in customer meetings and provide technical recommendations. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
