Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Construction Manager who can independently oversee construction activities, manage contractors and vendors, control project costs, and ensure that work is completed on time and as planned.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of construction work, material rates, labour requirements, vendor coordination and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities at project sites.
- Coordinate with contractors, thekedars, vendors, suppliers and labour teams.
- Obtain and compare best market prices/quotations for construction materials, labour and services.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to achieve competitive rates without compromising quality.
- Monitor material purchases, labour costs and overall project expenses.
- Ensure construction work is progressing according to the planned timeline and schedule.
- Identify reasons for delays and take timely action to prevent or minimize them.
- Regularly visit construction sites and monitor the quality and progress of work.
- Ensure that materials and workmanship meet the required quality standards.
- Check measurements, quantities, material requirements and work completion before approving work.
- Maintain proper coordination between management, site teams, contractors and vendors.
- Plan manpower and material requirements according to project needs.
- Resolve day-to-day site issues and coordinate with the concerned people for quick solutions.




- Monitor wastage of materials and ensure proper utilization of resources.
- Prepare regular updates/reports regarding project progress, costs, delays and pending work.
- Ensure work is carried out safely and according to company requirements.
- Keep management informed about any major cost variation, delay, quality issue or contractor-related concern.

Requirements

- 3–7 years of relevant experience in construction/project management.
- Practical experience in residential/commercial real estate construction will be preferred.
- Robust knowledge of construction materials, labour rates and market pricing.
- Good understanding of contractors, thekedars, vendors and site operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Ability to identify and control unnecessary costs.
- Good planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple activities and teams simultaneously.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Candidate should be mature, responsible, practical and capable of taking ownership of projects.
- Willingness to travel/visit project sites as required.
