Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, in-person classroom sessions on computer networking, network programming, cybersecurity fundamentals, and network automation.
- Explain foundational and advanced topics such as the OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, and network protocols.
- Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions involving router and switch configuration, packet analysis, network simulation, and troubleshooting.
- Help students develop network-based applications using socket programming, APIs, and appropriate programming languages.
- Introduce students to network automation through Python, scripting, REST APIs, and infrastructure-automation tools.
- Design industry-aligned lesson plans, laboratory exercises, assignments, assessments, projects, and instructional resources.
- Teach essential protocols and services, including TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, SSH, FTP, SMTP, NAT, and VPN.
- Provide practical exposure to Cisco Packet Tracer, Wireshark, GNS3, and Linux networking utilities.
- Understand individual learning needs and provide students with personalized academic support.
- Resolve technical questions and learning challenges promptly while providing continuous mentorship.

Requirements:

- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networks, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic or skilled understanding of computer networking and related technologies.
- Previous experience in teaching, technical training, mentoring,



or academic instruction will be an advantage.
- Strong passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting student success.
- Ability to communicate technically complex and abstract concepts in a simple, structured, and engaging manner.
- Willingness to deliver in-person classroom instruction and conduct hands-on laboratory sessions.

Skills Must-Have:

- Strong understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP networking models.
- Strong knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, and network topologies.
- Sound understanding of TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, NAT, SSH, and VPN.
- Practical ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and network-connected systems.
- Proficiency with Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, or equivalent tools.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and commonly used network diagnostic utilities.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, network programming, and automation.
- Understanding of socket programming, client-server architecture, multithreading, and API-based communication.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and network-automation fundamentals.

Good to Have

- Familiarity with Git and version-control systems.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise networking technologies.
- Understanding of routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Familiarity with firewalls, access control lists, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and network-security practices.
- Knowledge of software-defined networking, network-function virtualization, and programmable networks.
- Exposure to Ansible, Netmiko, Paramiko, NAPALM, or Scapy.
- Understanding of cloud-networking concepts in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker, virtualization, and container networking.
- Knowledge of wireless networking, network monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, or equivalent credentials.
- Awareness of current industry standards, emerging technologies, and networking best practices.
