CNC / VMC Programmer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled CNC / VMC Programmer to support our advanced furniture manufacturing operations. The role will be responsible for programming, optimizing and troubleshooting CNC machining processes, ensuring accurate production of components as per design and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize CNC/VMC programs for machining operations.
- Convert CAD drawings/models into machine-ready programs using CAM software.
- Work on 5-axis CNC routers, VMCs and automated machining equipment.
- Create and optimize toolpaths, cutting parameters, tool selection and nesting for effective material utilization.
- Generate and validate G-code/M-code programs and ensure error-free machine execution.
- Interpret AutoCAD/SolidWorks drawings, 3D models and manufacturing specifications.
- Support machining of solid wood, engineered wood, panels and other furniture components.
- Conduct program simulations and identify potential machining or collision issues before production.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, machine and dimensional issues during production.
- Work closely with Design, Production,



Quality and Engineering teams to improve manufacturability and cycle time.
- Optimize CNC processes for productivity, quality, material utilization and machine efficiency.
- Maintain CNC programs, tooling data, process sheets and relevant technical documentation.

Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing or related engineering discipline.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in CNC/VMC programming and manufacturing.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in furniture, woodworking, modular furniture, kitchen manufacturing, panel processing, solid wood machining or highly automated manufacturing environments will be preferred.

Experience with 5-axis CNC routers, automated drilling, nesting and CAD-to-CNC workflows will be an added advantage.
