Role Description The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer is a full time remote role responsible for creating detailed digital designs and models for gemstone jewelry and related products. The person in this role will translate conceptual ideas and artisan input into precise CAD drawings suitable for manufacturing and customization.

Day-to-day tasks include developing and refining technical and construction drawings, collaborating with production and design teams to ensure feasibility, and revising designs based on feedback and quality standards.



The CAD Designer will maintain organized design files, adhere to brand and technical guidelines, and support the introduction of new product lines and custom client orders. Regular communication with cross-functional teams will be required to align designs with materials, craftsmanship capabilities, and customer expectations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for jewelry or product design.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Drawing and Construction Drawings skills for accurate, production-ready documentation.
- Candidates should possess Drawing and visual design skills to translate creative concepts into clear digital models.
- Candidates should possess Design Engineering skills to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and aligned with material constraints.
- Experience in jewelry, gemstones, or related luxury product design is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, or similar) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and effective communication skills are required.
- A relevant diploma or degree in design, engineering, or a related field is advantageous, along with a portfolio demonstrating CAD and technical drawing work.
