Role Description The Compliance Officer (SEBI & GIFT City) will oversee and manage regulatory compliance across Returns’ advisory operations, with a focus on SEBI regulations and GIFT City requirements. This full-time, on-site role in Gurugram includes designing and implementing compliance frameworks, monitoring adherence to relevant laws, and performing periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments. The role involves drafting and updating internal policies, coordinating regulatory filings and reporting, and maintaining accurate compliance documentation.

The Compliance

Officer will collaborate with research, product, and operations teams to review new offerings, ensure alignment with SEBI and GIFT City guidelines,



and provide training and guidance on compliance best practices. The position also requires staying current with regulatory changes, liaising with regulators and external advisors when needed, and supporting audits and internal investigations.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEBI-regulated businesses
- Experience in stock broking, algo trading, wealth-tech, fintech, or financial services
- Strong practical knowledge of SEBI regulations and exchange requirements
- Understanding of NSE / BSE regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Knowledge of SEBI Investment Advisers (IA) and Research Analysts (RA) regulations
- Understanding of Algo Trading and applicable broking regulations
- Experience with audits, inspections, regulatory filings, surveillance & reporting
- Strong documentation, risk-management, and internal-control skills
- Ability to interpret regulatory changes and translate them into actionable business requirements
- Solid communication and stakeholder-management skills
