We are seeking a skilled Component Engineer with expertise in Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical Component Selection for industrial equipment, machinery, and semiconductor applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for component engineering, part qualification, lifecycle management, standardization, and ensuring compliance with quality and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Select and evaluate electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components for current product development and sustaining engineering projects.

- Perform component analysis, qualification, and approval based on performance, cost, reliability, and availability.

- Develop and maintain Component Engineering Guidelines (CEG) and approved vendor/component databases.

- Support product design teams with component selection, alternate sourcing, and obsolescence management.

- Work closely with suppliers and procurement teams to identify cost-effective and technically suitable components.

- Conduct lifecycle, risk, and reliability assessments for critical components.

- Review component specifications, datasheets, and compliance requirements (RoHS, REACH, UL, CE, etc.).

- Manage component-related engineering change activities and ensure proper documentation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality Engineering.

- Support semiconductor and industrial equipment projects by ensuring component standardization and technology alignment.

- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and component optimization initiatives.





Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Electrical, Electronics, and Electromechanical Components.

- Experience in Component Selection and Qualification.

- Understanding of Component Engineering Guidelines (CEG) and component databases.

- Knowledge of semiconductor equipment and industrial machinery components.

- Familiarity with component lifecycle management, obsolescence management, and alternate part selection.

- Experience working with BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering documentation.

- Knowledge of reliability, quality, and regulatory compliance standards.

- Proficiency in PLM/ERP systems and component management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.

- Experience in Semiconductor, Industrial Equipment, Automation, or Manufacturing Industries.

- Knowledge of supplier qualification, sourcing strategies, and global component supply chains.

- Experience with engineering change processes and product lifecycle management.

Desired Experience

- 3-10 years of experience in component engineering, electronic component management, or component qualification for industrial or semiconductor equipment.
