We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented fresher to join our team as an IMDS Compliance Engineer.

The candidate will be trained on IMDS, Material Data Sheets (MDS), automotive environmental compliance, and customer-specific requirements. The role involves working with material and substance data, reviewing MDS information, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers, and supporting compliance activities for automotive customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Learn and work on the International Material Data System (IMDS) and MDS processes.
- Create, review, and maintain Material Data Sheets (MDS) under guidance from senior team members.
- Review material composition and substance information for accuracy and completeness.
- Validate MDS data against IMDS requirements and customer-specific requirements.
- Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent material and substance information.
- Support MDS submission, rejection analysis, correction, and resubmission activities.
- Assist in resolving IMDS-related queries and data issues.
- Maintain accurate records of MDS submissions, approvals, rejections, and follow-ups.




- Develop an understanding of automotive environmental regulations such as ELV, REACH, RoHS, GADSL, and PFAS requirements.
- Support preparation of compliance reports, trackers, and documentation.
- Perform research and analysis related to environmental and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Work closely with senior compliance engineers and gradually take ownership of assigned IMDS activities.
- Ensure assigned activities are completed accurately and within defined timelines.

Preferred Candidate Profile Fresh graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- Candidates with a background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering will be preferred.
- Strong interest in automotive environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to learn recent software systems and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
