Overview

Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO). We provide Phase I-IV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Responsibilities

- Coordinate monthly payroll administration responsibilities, including employee onboarding/offboarding, data preparation and submission, financial control, payment processing, and file maintenance;
- Calculate and validate payments and deductions;
- Coordinate benefit administration activities, including but not limited to enrollments, terminations, invoice reviews, and third-party vendor communications;




- Collaborate with Compensation and Benefits colleagues in Germany and/or the United States on financial control processes and third-party vendor management;
- Work with Corporate and local Accounting on various tasks, including expense accrual, account reconciliation, and specific bookkeeping queries;
- Support unique employment changes that require specialized insight, including employment separations, cross-country transfers, etc.;
- Maintain payroll process and statutory reporting calendars;
- Address employee-level inquiries and coordinate employee-wide communications;
- Communicate with external vendors to resolve payroll and benefits issues, implement process changes, and discuss terms of service;
- Research local country laws and common practices related to employment, payroll, and benefits;
- Maintain departmental databases and HR systems; and
- Assist Compensations and Benefits department with other projects, as needed.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Payroll, Advantages, Total Rewards, or related field;
- Experience working for a multinational company preferred;
- Intermediate-to-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Intermediate-to-Advanced knowledge of Human Resources or Enterprise Resource Planning software;
- High attention to detail; and
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
