Role Description The Community Coordinator is a full-time, in office role based in Uttarakhand, India. This position is responsible for planning and implementing community outreach activities, organizing local events and meetings, and coordinating with stakeholders, beneficiaries, and partner organizations. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with community members, gathering feedback on programs, and supporting the design and execution of social development projects.

The Community

Coordinator will prepare basic reports, maintain records of community initiatives, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and impact. The role requires regular field visits,



participation in community gatherings, and proactive problem-solving to support RJHSS’s mission.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Community Engagement and Community Outreach skills to build trust and maintain meaningful relationships with local communities.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication in relevant local languages and English or Hindi.
- Candidates should possess Event Planning and Community Organizing skills to coordinate meetings, workshops, and local initiatives efficiently.
- Knowledge of social development issues and experience working with grassroots organizations or NGOs is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Uttarakhand, travel within local areas, and collaborate with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, time management, and basic reporting skills, with comfort using common office tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets).
- A diploma or degree in social work, community development, sociology, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience in community-based roles.
