Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collections Specialist role based in New Delhi.

The Collections

Specialist is responsible for managing overdue accounts, contacting customers via phone and other channels, and negotiating payment plans in line with company policies. The role involves monitoring daily cash collections, updating account records, and coordinating with internal finance and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies. The individual will track collection metrics, prepare regular reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.

Specialist will also contribute to process improvements that enhance recovery rates while maintaining respectful, professional interactions with customers.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Debt Collection and Cash Collection skills, including experience handling overdue accounts and negotiating payment arrangements.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage borrowers professionally and build constructive relationships.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Finance, particularly in lending, credit, and basic accounting concepts relevant to collections.
- Candidates should possess strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency with spreadsheets and collection/CRM software.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site in New Delhi, manage high call volumes, and meet defined collection targets and timelines.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field; prior NBFC or banking experience in collections is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess a high level of integrity, familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, and the ability to handle sensitive customer information responsibly.
