We’re not looking for someone to fill a position. We’re looking for someone who wants to build.

RE-Treat is an early-stage startup working towards building a better future for plant-based pet food. We’re a small team with a big ambition — to create something meaningful in the pet food space and grow it into a company that makes a real difference.

We’re now looking for a Co-Founder who wants to be part of that journey from the beginning.

Who are we looking for?

Someone from a background in:

- B.Sc. Food Science & Nutrition
- B.Tech / M.Tech Food Technology
- M.Sc. Food Science / Nutrition
- PhD in a relevant field

But honestly, your degree is only one part of it. We’re more interested in how you think, how much you care and how much you want to build.

If you are someone who is passionate about food, pet nutrition, sustainability, product development, entrepreneurship or simply creating something that can have an impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What we value

We’re looking for someone who:

- Takes ownership rather than waiting for instructions
- Can work independently and take responsibility for their decisions




- Is comfortable figuring things out when there is no predefined roadmap
- Wants to contribute ideas, not just execute tasks
- Is ambitious about building something of their own
- Is willing to learn, experiment and grow with the company
- Ultimately wants to own the journey, not just a role

Our culture

We are a startup, and our team follows a very decentralised culture.

There are no unnecessary layers of hierarchy or a mindset of "this is not my job." We believe people should have the freedom to take an idea, work on it, make decisions and see it through.

We want to continue building RE-Treat with the same culture.

So if you prefer having someone constantly tell you what to do, this probably isn't the right fit.

But if you enjoy freedom, responsibility, ownership and building things from scratch, we might be a good match.

About compensation

We want to be completely transparent.

At this stage, RE-Treat may not be in a position to offer a fixed salary. We are looking for someone who is willing to build alongside us during this early stage.

As a Co-Founder, equity will be part of the opportunity.

The idea is simple: we build the company together, create value together and grow together.
