ROLE PURPOSE To operate and set CNC machines for accurate and efficient machining of valve components as per engineering drawings, production plans, process sheets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIESA. Machine Operation & Setting

- Operate CNC Turning / VMC machines as per assigned production requirements.
- Set machine, job, tools, fixtures, work offsets and tool offsets.
- Load and unload components safely and correctly.
- Read and understand CNC programs and make approved offset corrections.
- Perform tool changes and monitor tool condition.
- Carry out first-piece setting and trial machining.
- Maintain required machine parameters for consistent production.

B. Drawing & Technical Understanding
- Read engineering drawings and understand dimensions, tolerances and machining requirements.
- Understand basic GD&T; and machining symbols.
- Identify critical dimensions and features of valve components.
- Follow approved process sheets, work instructions and inspection standards.

C. Quality Control
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspection.
- Use vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, thread gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and required surface finish.
- Immediately report deviations, defects, tool damage or abnormal machining conditions.
- Segregate OK, rejected and rework components properly.
- Ensure traceability of components and batches.

D. Production Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned daily production targets.
- Minimize rejection, rework,



material wastage and machine downtime.
- Maintain optimum machine utilization.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality departments regarding process and quality issues.
- Support new-job trials and process improvement activities.

E. Valve Component Machining Responsible for machining valve-related components such as:
- Valve bodies
- Bonnet / covers
- Stems
- Seats
- Bushes
- Flanges
- End connections
- Threads, bores and other precision-machined components

Special attention shall be given to critical dimensions, sealing surfaces, threads, concentricity, bore accuracy and surface finish. F. Machine & Workplace Maintenance

- Perform daily machine checks.
- Keep machine, tools, fixtures and work area clean.
- Follow 5S requirements.
- Report machine abnormalities and maintenance requirements immediately.
- Handle cutting tools and measuring instruments carefully.

G. Safety
- Follow all plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Do not bypass machine guards or safety systems.
- Follow safe material handling practices.
- Maintain safe working conditions around the machine.
- Immediately report accidents, unsafe conditions and machine hazards.

AUTHORITIES




- Stop the machine in case of unsafe conditions or serious quality issues.
- Inform the supervisor about tool, fixture, program or machine problems.
- Hold questionable components for Quality/Production verification.
- Request replacement of damaged or worn tools.

QUALIFICATION ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Machining / CNC or equivalent technical qualification.

EXPERIENCE

2–5 years relevant experience in CNC machining, preferably in precision engineering, valve manufacturing, oil & gas components or similar manufacturing industries.

ACCOUNTABILITY The CNC Operator / Setter is accountable for protected machine operation, accurate machining, production target achievement, product quality, minimum rejection, proper machine handling and compliance with Comfit & Valves Pvt. Ltd. procedures. Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹33,294.70 per month
