Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC fiber/CO₂ laser cutting machines for sheet metal cutting.

- Read and understand engineering drawings, part drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and cutting layouts.

- Load and unload sheet metal with the help of helpers and appropriate handling equipment.

- Set up the machine according to material type, thickness, drawing, and production requirements.

- Select and verify appropriate CNC programs, nozzles, lenses, and machine parameters.

- Set parameters such as laser power, cutting speed, gas pressure, focus, and frequency as required.

- Run CNC cutting programs and continuously monitor machine performance.

- Check first-off components and ensure dimensions and quality meet specifications.

- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, and measuring tape.

- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

- Maintain proper housekeeping around the machine and production area.

- Maintain records of production quantity, material consumption, rejection, and machine downtime.

- Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.

- Handle sheet metal safely using proper PPE and lifting/handling equipment.

- Report machine abnormalities, nozzle/lens damage, quality issues, and maintenance requirements to the supervisor.

- Follow all company safety procedures and work instructions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Fabrication, or related technical field preferred.

- 2–7 years of relevant experience in CNC laser cutting machine operation.





- Hands-on experience with sheet metal laser cutting is required.

- Knowledge of materials such as MS, SS, Aluminium, GI, and other alloys.

- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.

- Knowledge of nesting/CNC laser cutting software will be an advantage.

- Ability to use Vernier caliper, micrometer, measuring tape, and other basic inspection instruments.

- Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.

Candidates with hands-on experience on other CNC fiber laser cutting machines may also be considered.

Candidate Location & Facility Information.

- Job Location: Sanand GIDC, Ahmedabad.

- Candidate should be comfortable travelling to Sanand GIDC regularly.

- No company transportation facility will be provided.

- No company accommodation facility will be provided.

Pay: ₹11,458.35 - ₹30,000.00 per month
