The Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC) is a section 8 company set up by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship dedicated to enhancing skills, fostering industry partnerships, and driving innovation in the logistics sector. As part of our mission to ensure a secure and reliable, secure digital infrastructure, we are seeking an entry-level Cloud Security Engineer to join our team.

Role Overview:

The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and resilience of LSC’s cloud infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures, as well as proactively identifying vulnerabilities through ethical hacking and VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) practices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in safeguarding sensitive data, applications, and systems hosted in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, document, and enforce secure coding and cloud security best practices for the development team.
- Collaborate with IT Development and Web Application teams to implement and maintain cloud security standards for applications and websites.
- Design and implement comprehensive cloud security strategies to protect LSC’s cloud-based systems and data.
- Perform Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) on cloud infrastructure, applications, and networks.
- Conduct ethical hacking activities to identify, exploit, and remediate security weaknesses.
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats, incidents, and anomalies; respond promptly to mitigate risks.




- Monitor firewall and Internet leased line traffic; identify and report suspicious activities and take immediate remedial actions to neutralise threats.
- Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and secure configuration reviews.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and cloud security technologies.
- Ensure proper backup management across IT systems and recommend advanced solutions for automated backup and disaster recovery.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 0-1 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Ethical Hacking methodologies and VAPT practices.
- Familiarity with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, penetration testing frameworks, and SIEM tools.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
- Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and FTP.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Java, or Shell scripting).
- Strong understanding of security principles, encryption techniques, and authentication protocols.
- Certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Security+, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with incident response and threat intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.
