About The Role We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and support the security operations of Azure cloud environments for our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about cybersecurity and cloud technology to work on complex security challenges within a collaborative, rapid-paced environment.

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Alignity, you will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and enhancing the security posture of cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong technical background in cloud security, who thrive in a role that combines operational responsibilities with strategic security initiatives. The role is based in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, or Chennai, with employment on a contract-to-hire basis, offering the potential for long-term stability and growth.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, or a related field. They should have between 3 to 8 years of experience in information technology or information security, with a focus on cloud security.





Proficiency in Azure cloud services and a solid understanding of firewalls, VPCs, security groups, key management, and secure SDLC pipelines are essential. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer are highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with security frameworks like NIST, PCI, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

Familiarity with log collection tools such as Elastic stacks or Splunk and exposure to DevOps practices and automation are advantageous.

Responsibilities The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of security management and operational tasks, including:

- Monitoring and responding to cloud security alerts, incidents, access requests, and exceptions within defined SLAs and SLOs.
- Investigating suspicious activities, unauthorized access, malware indicators, phishing attempts, and policy violations.
- Configuring and troubleshooting Azure security controls, such as firewalls, VPNs, network security groups, and access rules.
- Supporting whitelist requests, cloud application access, port openings, and security exception processes.
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues across Azure resources, virtual networks, endpoints, and enterprise networks.
- Analyzing logs from SIEM, firewalls, endpoints, and native cloud security tools, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Managing ServiceNow incidents,



maintaining accurate documentation, and tracking resolution progress.
- Supporting vulnerability assessments, patch management, security control testing, and evidence collection for audits.
- Assisting in identity and access management, including role-based access controls and periodic reviews.
- Performing security configuration reviews and maintaining compliance with security standards and architecture best practices.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve security issues and improve operational workflows.
- Developing and updating knowledge articles, SOPs, checklists, and automating processes to enhance efficiency.
- Participating in on-call rotations and shift-based support to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
