Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Cloud Support Engineer to join our growing technical support team. The candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT with positive knowledge of hardware, networking, routers, switches, RDP, FTP, and preferably VMware ESXi and firewall basics. Initially, the engineer will be responsible for Tally on Cloud setup and support, working closely with clients and internal teams.
--- Key Responsibilities:
Create and manage user accounts on Windows cloud servers Assign user-specific rights and restrictions (folder/software access, printers, etc.)
Install and configure Tally software on cloud-hosted servers Assist in RDP setup on client systems (Windows/Mac)
Provide end-to-end explanation and demo to clients about Tally on Cloud usage.
Attend and resolve customer support queries related to cloud-hosted Tally
Assist with printing and peripheral device setup for remote users
Maintain documentation and basic server logs
Coordinate with senior engineers for advanced tasks (VMware, firewall, etc.)
--- Required Skills:
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows Server environment
Experience with hardware troubleshooting, networking, routers & switches
Understanding of RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) and FTP services
Strong communication and client interaction skills
Ability to give remote/on-site Tally on Cloud demos
Must be a quick learner and able to work in a dynamic environment
--- Additional Skills (Good to Have):
Exposure to VMware ESXi environment
Understanding of firewall configurations (Sophos, FortiGate, etc.)
Basic knowledge of Linux commands (not mandatory but a plus)
