Job Location - Africa (Gabon)

Key Responsibilities

- Take overall technical responsibility for structural engineering projects from design through construction completion.
- Prepare, review, and approve structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Manage structural engineering activities for commercial buildings, showrooms, warehouses, offices, and other construction projects.
- Conduct structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete, steel, foundations, and other structural systems.
- Supervise and monitor structural construction works at project sites.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project management teams.
- Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, and material specifications.
- Identify structural issues during construction and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Monitor project progress,



quality, costs, and technical requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports and progress reports.
- Ensure structural works are completed within the agreed project schedule.
- Manage multiple projects when required and coordinate priorities between sites.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, building codes, and local regulations in Gabon.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and site teams.
- Attend project meetings and communicate technical requirements clearly to all stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for resolving structural and technical problems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate final inspections, defect rectification, and project handover.
