- Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (BBS) with 5+ years of experience in preparing and managing Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for residential, villa, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have robust knowledge of reinforcement detailing, quantity estimation, site coordination, and execution as per structural drawings.

- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) as per approved structural drawings.
- Calculate reinforcement quantities for RCC elements such as footings, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, retaining walls, and other structural components.
- Review structural drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, steel vendors, and project managers regarding reinforcement requirements.
- Monitor reinforcement cutting, bending,



and placement at the site.
- Verify steel consumption and minimize material wastage.
- Prepare steel reconciliation reports and maintain reinforcement records.
- Ensure reinforcement work complies with project specifications, IS codes, and quality standards.
- Support billing, quantity verification, and measurement certification.
- Maintain daily progress reports and BBS documentation.
- Assist in planning reinforcement requirements according to the construction schedule.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure reinforcement is executed as per approved BBS.
- Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) preparation.
- Expertise in RCC detailing and reinforcement calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and civil drawings.
- Knowledge of IS Codes related to reinforcement detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel for quantity calculations and reports.
- Experience in quantity estimation and steel reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in BBS and RCC construction.
- Experience in villa construction will be preferred.
- Candidates based in Goa or willing to relocate will be preferred.
