Job Summary:

We are looking for a Civil Consultant, who will provide specialized technical expertise in civil engineering, mining infrastructure, mine planning, design, construction, and related technical systems for both Open-Cast (O/C) and Underground (U/G) mining operations. The consultant will support the organization in planning, designing, reviewing, optimizing, and implementing civil infrastructure and mining-related projects in accordance with applicable technical standards, statutory requirements, safety norms, and industry best practices. This position is completely part-time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and layout of civil infrastructure, township, water supply/distribution, and effluent treatment systems.
- Civil design and infrastructure planning for CHP, Coal Preparation Plants, HEMM Workshops, and Mine Shaft Units.
- Technical consultancy for Mine Ventilation Simulation, Coal Washery, and contemporary Washability Methods.
- Planning/application of IPCC/IPCCC, ROPECON and High-Angle Belt Conveying Systems for O/C and U/G mines.
- Conduct energy efficiency studies of electrical and diesel equipment as per international benchmarking of mining activities.
- Consultancy on Energy Sensitive Organizational Structure.
- Development of mine-specific software, IT-enabled services, and GPS-based monitoring systems.
- Provide technical consultancy for mine planning,



infrastructure development, and optimization of mining operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

- B.E./B.Tech. /B.Sc. Engg./A.M.I.E./M.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant specialized training/course of 6 months or above preferred.

Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervisory capacity in mining after post education completion
- Minimum 5 years’ overall experience in the concerned technical area, including knowledge/experience in Mining Plan preparation.
- Officers who have served for 5 years or more in Central/State Mining Departments, Government Organizations, Research Institutes, Universities/Colleges may also be considered relevant experience.

Specific Experience

- Design of civil structures and infrastructure for Open-Cast and Underground Mines.
- Planning and design of hydraulic, drainage, and transportation systems.
- Construction, operation and maintenance of civil works.
- Soil and construction material testing for foundations and structures.
- Planning and optimization of Plant & Machinery for mining projects.
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary mining infrastructure, including electrical/utility systems.

Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:
- Supervising: 3 years (Preferred)
- Mining Plan Preparation: 5 years (Preferred)
- served Central government: 5 years (Preferred)
