About the RoleJIVO Energy is looking for a Civil Design Engineer with experience in the solar/renewable energy industry to support the design and engineering of solar PV and other renewable energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in civil design for solar projects, including site development, foundations, grading, drainage, roads and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review civil designs and engineering drawings for solar PV projects and other renewable energy projects.
- Develop civil layouts, grading plans, drainage, roads, foundations, cable trenches and equipment layouts.
- Design/review foundations for solar module mounting structures, inverters, transformers and other project equipment.
- Prepare and review civil design calculations, BOQs, quantity estimates and technical specifications.
- Review topographical surveys, geotechnical reports and site data and incorporate them into project designs.
- Prepare detailed and construction drawings using AutoCAD and relevant civil design software.
- Coordinate with structural, electrical and other engineering teams to ensure integrated project designs.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors and contractors on drawings, technical submissions and design clarifications.




- Support project/site teams during execution by resolving civil design-related queries.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, client requirements and project specifications.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the solar/renewable energy industry.
- Mandatory experience in civil design for solar PV projects.
- Good understanding of foundations, site development, grading, drainage, roads and earthworks.
- Experience in preparing engineering drawings, BOQs and design calculations.
- Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of STAAD.Pro / Civil 3D or similar civil/structural design software will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of relevant Indian engineering standards and codes.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.

Preferred
- Experience in utility-scale solar projects.
- Exposure to substations, BESS or other power infrastructure projects.
- Experience with site execution and constructability requirements.
- Ability to independently manage design deliverables and meet project timelines.
