About the Role

The Chief of Staff to the Product Head is a high-exposure, high-impact role at Navi, offering a unique opportunity to gain a bird's-eye view of the company's product strategy and execution.

This role will work directly with the Product Head and the broader product leadership team, playing a pivotal role in driving the product organization’s strategic initiatives and ensuring operational excellence. You will be instrumental in overseeing central, high-impact projects, enhancing operational efficiency within the product function, and significantly improving cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As the Chief of Staff to the Product Head, you will be expected to:

- Strategic Time Management: Manage the Product Head's calendar to ensure time allocation is prioritized towards the organization's biggest bets and activities that create the highest impact for Navi.

- Program Management & Ownership: Own central, critical projects end-to-end and be fully accountable for their outcomes.

- Operational Efficiency: Closely track progress on the business front across various product lines and identify ways to make the product function more productive.

- Process Improvement & Automation: Improve current product processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency. Identify and automate efficiency gaps within product functions by creating necessary tools and mechanisms.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive collaboration between the Product team and various other charters (e.g., Tech, Business, Marketing). Come up with and set processes to ensure better collaboration and outcomes with other functions.

- Problem-Solving & Strategy: Assist the Product Head in decision-making and program management.



Participate in strategic initiatives by leading them and reporting results back. Within these initiatives, own and execute some central initiatives that may not fit neatly into one product function.

- Team & Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with and manage a diverse set of stakeholders across the organization.

Must Haves

- Education: Graduate from a top-tier institution.

- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in consulting, strategy, or high-growth startups with exposure to CXO/leadership-level problem-solving.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Very strong problem-solving skills. The ability to tackle problems across different domains (customer, stakeholder, team, processes). Must be able to define the problem well, set explicit metrics, drive progress, and create measurable impact.

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Extremely good in communication and stakeholder management, with a high level of empathy.

- Ownership & Mindset: Very high level of ownership and a business-first thinking approach.

- Drive & Initiative: An entrepreneurial mind-set along with an ability to hustle and solve problems on-ground. Takes initiative and can think of new ways to approach problems.

- Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail. Comfort in understanding data & dashboards; being adept at Excel and Google Sheets.

- Adaptability: Ability to think outside the box and be comfortable dealing with unstructured problem statements.
