Chief Manager Paint Shop-10+ years-Hoshiarpur

We are looking for an experienced Paint Shop professional to lead and improve painting operations for tractor chassis, bonnets, fenders, and wheel rims. The role will focus on robotic painting automation, CED coating, paint quality, corrosion resistance, cost optimization, and overall paint shop efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Lead complete paint shop operations, including automated paint lines, 6-axis spray robots, CED coating, liquid painting, and wheel-rim coating.
- Optimize ABB/Fanuc/Yaskawa robotic painting systems, including robot paths, electrostatic bell parameters, atomization air, and paint flow.
- Ensure paint quality through monitoring of DFT, gloss, color matching, adhesion, Salt Spray Test (SST), and surface defects such as sagging, orange peel, and dust contamination.
- Manage pre-treatment processes, sludge handling, paint booth AHUs, curing ovens, and related plant utilities.
- Drive paint cost reduction and process efficiency by improving paint yield, reducing chemical/solvent consumption and overspray, while ensuring VOC, environmental, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements

- 10+ years of dedicated Paint Shop experience in tractor, automotive OEM, or heavy commercial vehicle manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial robotic painting systems ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa, etc.
- Expertise in CED coating, liquid/powder painting, pre-treatment, and surface coating chemistry.
- Strong understanding of paint quality parameters, DFT, gloss, adhesion, corrosion resistance, SST,



and defect reduction.
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering, or a specialized qualification in Paint Technology / Surface Coating. Punjab-region candidates or candidates familiar with the region are preferred.
