Location: Pune
Reporting To: Board of Directors
Role: Full time Leadership Position
Role Objective The CEO will have end-to-end responsibility for MultiFit’s growth, profitability and evolution into a diversified fitness and wellness ecosystem.
The mandate extends beyond growing gyms. The CEO will identify, build and scale multiple revenue engines across fitness, wellness, events, corporate solutions, education,
partnerships, brand licensing and new business verticals, while strengthening MultiFit’s core club and franchise business.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L; & Business Performance
* Own MultiFit’s overall revenue, EBITDA, profitability, cash flow and annual business plan.
- Drive profitability at both company and individual vertical level.
- Establish budgets, dashboards and monthly business reviews.
- Hold every business head accountable to clearly defined revenue and profitability targets.
1. Club & Franchise Expansion
* Drive aggressive but sustainable expansion of company-owned and franchise clubs.
- Strengthen franchise sales, onboarding, operations and franchisee profitability.
- Improve club-level unit economics, membership growth and retention.
- Identify new cities, territories and formats for expansion.
1. Build the MultiFit Fitness Ecosystem
Drive MultiFit beyond the traditional gym model by identifying and scaling opportunities across the broader fitness, wellness and preventive-health ecosystem.
Potential verticals include
- Fitness clubs and studios
- Corporate wellness
- Fitness events and competitions
- Sports and performance
- Nutrition and wellness
- Fitness education and certifications
- Digital fitness and technology
- Community and lifestyle experiences
- Strategic brand partnerships
- New fitness concepts and formats The CEO should continuously identify opportunities where MultiFit’s brand, community, expertise and infrastructure can create new revenue streams.
1. Events & IP Vertical
Lead and commercially scale the Events Head and Events vertical as an independent business engine.
- Build a structured annual calendar of consumer and corporate fitness events.
- Scale existing MultiFit-owned IPs, including SheRox and MultiFit community/event properties.
- Develop new proprietary fitness, sports and wellness IPs.
- Build sponsorship, ticketing, participation, partnership and activation revenue.
- Take successful event concepts across multiple cities.
- Create partnerships with brands, corporates, communities and institutions.
- Establish the events vertical as a profitable standalone P&L;,
rather than only a marketing function.
1. Corporate Business Expansion
Build a dedicated B2B and Corporate Wellness vertical.
- Acquire large corporate wellness accounts.
- Develop annual corporate fitness and wellness programmes.
- Build corporate memberships and employee fitness packages.
- Create corporate competitions, challenges and events.
- Develop strategic alliances with HR teams, insurers, healthcare organisations and employee-benefit platforms.
- Establish recurring corporate contracts rather than one-off activations.
1. Brand Licensing & Subletting
Create opportunities to monetise the MultiFit brand beyond conventional franchising. Develop models through which MultiFit’s brand, programmes, expertise or operating systems can be licensed/sublet to:
- Residential developments
- Hotels and resorts
- Corporate campuses
- Educational institutions
- Sports clubs
- Developers and real-estate projects
- Independent fitness facilities
- Wellness destinations
Build asset-light MultiFit formats where partners can operate MultiFit-branded fitness or wellness offerings without requiring a traditional full-scale MultiFit franchise.
Develop clear commercial structures including licensing fees, management fees, revenue shares and recurring royalties.
1. Sales, Marketing & Revenue
* Drive membership acquisition, renewals and retention.
- Strengthen lead generation, CRM and conversion systems.
- Hold marketing accountable to measurable business outcomes.
- Increase revenue per member through PT, nutrition and additional services.
- Build cross-selling opportunities between MultiFit’s different verticals.
1. Operational Excellence & Member Experience
* Establish consistent SOPs and operating standards across every MultiFit location.
- Maintain excellence across training, service, cleanliness, maintenance and safety.
- Make member satisfaction and retention core organisational KPIs.
- Ensure that as MultiFit scales, its community culture and member experience remain consistent.
1. Leadership & Organisation
* Build and lead MultiFit’s senior leadership team.
- Directly mentor and hold accountable the heads of Operations, Sales, Marketing, Franchising, Events,
Corporate Business and other key verticals.
- Establish KRAs, KPIs and P&L; accountability for every business head.
- Build a culture of speed, ownership, accountability and performance.
- Develop the organisational structure and leadership pipeline required for MultiFit’s next stage of growth.
1. Strategic Partnerships & New Business
Actively identify partnerships that expand MultiFit’s ecosystem and distribution. Build relationships with corporates, developers, hospitality groups, healthcare organisations, sports organisations, educational institutions and consumer brands.
Evaluate acquisitions, joint ventures, management contracts, licensing opportunities and strategic investments where relevant.
The CEO should constantly ask:
“Where else can MultiFit exist?”
—not only:
“Where can we open the next gym?”
1. Technology & Data
* Drive technology adoption across the organisation.
- Strengthen MultiFit’s CRM, app and digital ecosystem.
- Build management dashboards with real-time visibility into performance.
- Use data to improve sales, retention, operations and customer experience.
- Explore digital products capable of expanding MultiFit beyond physical locations.
CEO SUCCESS METRICS The CEO will ultimately be evaluated on the enterprise value they create for MultiFit, including:
- Revenue & EBITDA growth
- Club-level profitability
- Same-club growth
- Membership acquisition and retention
- Franchise expansion
- Revenue generated outside traditional gym memberships
- Events vertical revenue & profitability
- Corporate wellness revenue
- Brand licensing/subletting revenue
- Number and value of strategic partnerships
- New revenue verticals successfully launched
- Geographic expansion
- Member satisfaction
- Leadership team performance
- Budget vs. actual performance THE MANDATE The next chapter of MultiFit is not simply about building more gyms.
It is about building a fitness ecosystem.
The CEO’s mandate is to transform MultiFit into a company with multiple scalable revenue engines — clubs, franchises, events, corporate wellness, education, licensing,
partnerships, technology and new fitness businesses.
MultiFit should be able to enter a city, corporate office, residential development, school, hotel, sporting environment or community through multiple business models — not just by opening a gym.
The CEO must therefore be a business builder, operator and entrepreneur capable of taking MultiFit from a successful fitness brand to a diversified, scalable fitness and
- wellness company.
