Role Description The Chemical Engineer role at NPCS is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi, focused on supporting industrial projects and feasibility studies within the chemical sector. This role includes designing and evaluating chemical processes, performing process simulations, and contributing to plant layout concepts and technology selection.

The Chemical

Engineer will conduct laboratory-scale experiments and trials, analyze process data, and prepare technical documentation to support market surveys and techno-economic reports. Daily responsibilities involve collaborating with consultants and cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards,



and providing technical input for client proposals and customized research assignments. The role may also include reviewing industry trends, supporting client meetings with clear technical explanations, and helping optimize processes for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret experimental and process data, perform calculations, and support techno-economic evaluations.
- Laboratory skills, including safe handling of chemicals, experimental design, data recording, and familiarity with standard analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of the chemical industry, including common manufacturing processes, materials, and regulatory and safety requirements.
- Process engineering capabilities, such as process design, flow diagram development, mass and energy balance calculations, and basic equipment selection.
- Effective communication skills to prepare clear technical reports, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and present findings to clients.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools (e.g., process simulation, spreadsheets, and technical documentation tools).
- Understanding of industrial safety practices and environmental compliance in chemical processing.
- Ability to work in office in Recent Delhi, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a consulting environment.
- Prior experience in industrial consultancy, chemical plant operations, or project engineering is an advantage.
