Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Ouagadougou.

The Chartered

Accountant will oversee day-to-day financial accounting, including ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities include managing statutory audits, tax computations and filings, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate governance requirements. The role will also support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting for management, while contributing to internal controls, process improvements, and risk management.

The Chartered

Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional offices to ensure accurate financial data, timely reporting,



and alignment with group policies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management and preparation of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
- Candidates should possess expertise in audit and assurance, including coordination with internal and external auditors, handling audit queries, and implementing audit recommendations.
- Candidates should possess tax and compliance skills, including knowledge of corporate taxation, indirect taxes, and experience with statutory filings and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills, including variance analysis, cost control, and support for strategic decision-making.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong MS Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Qualified qualification as a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent recognized accounting qualification) is required; additional certifications in finance or taxation will be an advantage.
- Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in cross-cultural teams are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of French or local languages in West Africa is an added benefit.
- Experience in manufacturing, commodities, or agri-based industries, preferably with international operations, will be highly beneficial.
