Team Member- Information Services (change management)
Position Summary The Change Co-ordinator is responsible for governing, coordinating, and continuously improving the organization's Change Management process to ensure that all changes are planned, assessed, approved, implemented, and reviewed in a controlled manner.
Key Responsibilities
Change Governance & Process Management
- Own and manage the end-to-end Change Management process.
- Ensure all Requests for Change (RFCs) are reviewed, assessed, approved, and implemented in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
- Review and evaluate change requests for completeness, business impact, technical impact, risk, and implementation readiness.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments, testing evidence, rollback plans, and stakeholder approvals are in place.
- Challenge and validate change plans to ensure successful implementation and minimal business impact.
- Maintain forward schedule calendar do implement planned changes.
CAB (Change Advisory Board) Management
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
- Ensure emergency changes are reviewed through appropriate governance mechanisms.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate approved changes, maintenance windows, outages, and implementation schedules to stakeholders.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed of change impacts, risks, and mitigation plans.
Change Monitoring & Reporting
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured.
- Analyse failed, backed-out, emergency, and unauthorized changes.
Continual Service Improvement
- Drive initiatives to improve change success rates and reduce change-related incidents.
- Identify trends and root causes of failed or emergency changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- ITIL Foundation certification (good to have).
Experience Requirements
- 510 years of experience in IT Service Management, Operations, Infrastructure, or Change Management.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Change Management experience in a medium to large enterprise setting.
Required Skills & Competencies Technical & Process Skills
- Strong understanding of ITIL Change Enablement/Change Management practices.
- Knowledge of Incident, Problem, Release, Deployment, and Service Continuity processes.
- Experience in risk assessment and service impact analysis.
- Strong reporting and data analysis capabilities.
