We are looking for a passionate Ceramic Engineer to join our minerals team at RBL Natural Resources Ltd, Udaipur (Rajasthan). This role demands bottom-up approach to develop ceramic materials for different segments encompassing material selection, analytical characterization, process optimization, performance validation as per customer requirements.
Role & responsibilities
- Research: Assist in the design and formulation of ceramic materials, focusing on optimizing structure-processing-property-performance correlation and relevant data interpretation
- Experimentation & Testing: Conduct laboratory experiments and tests to evaluate the performance of ceramic materials under various processing conditions
- Scalability: Collaborate with team of researchers and production plant to streamline industrial production process, test in-process and FG quality parameters, analyze test results and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders (marketing, customer, plants)
- Production:
Support the development of production processes for ceramic components, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Collaboration & Communication: Actively participate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot material-related issues in R&D; and production
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, results, and recommendations for process improvements
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with ceramic fabrication methods such as slip casting, pressing, or sintering
- Basic proficiency in laboratory equipment used for material testing, such as MOR, Particle sizers, XRD, XRF, SEM, and thermal analyzers Understanding of material property testing standards and methodologies
