About the Centre

We are setting up a multidisciplinary Child Development & Therapy Centre in Kolkata, operating from an established preschool environment.

The centre will provide integrated support in areas including:

•⁠ ⁠Occupational Therapy

•⁠ ⁠Speech & Language Therapy

•⁠ ⁠Behavioural & Developmental Intervention

•⁠ ⁠Special Education

•⁠ ⁠Remedial / Learning Support

•⁠ ⁠Sensory Development

•⁠ ⁠Child Psychology & Counselling

•⁠ ⁠Paediatric Physiotherapy

•⁠ ⁠Play-based and Early Intervention Programmes

We are looking for an experienced Centre Head who can take ownership of the centre’s clinical coordination, team development, parent engagement and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary therapy team.

•⁠ ⁠Develop and maintain high-quality therapy and intervention programmes.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate assessments, therapy plans and periodic progress reviews.

•⁠ ⁠Supervise therapists, educators and therapy assistants.

•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with visiting specialists such as child psychologists and paediatric physiotherapists.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure appropriate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions and progress.

•⁠ ⁠Conduct or coordinate parent consultations and progress meetings.

•⁠ ⁠Develop Individualised Intervention Plans wherever appropriate.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor the quality and consistency of therapy delivered by the team.

•⁠ ⁠Identify when a child requires assessment or referral to another specialist.

•⁠ ⁠Establish professional protocols, SOPs and safeguarding practices.





•⁠ ⁠Conduct regular case discussions with therapists.

•⁠ ⁠Support recruitment, induction and training of therapists.

•⁠ ⁠Build a positive relationship with parents and caregivers.

•⁠ ⁠Help develop new programmes and group activities for children.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor utilisation of therapy rooms, therapist schedules and appointments.

•⁠ ⁠Maintain professional standards, confidentiality and ethical practices.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have:

•⁠ ⁠8–12+ years of experience in paediatric therapy, child development, special education, rehabilitation or a related field.

•⁠ ⁠A recognised professional qualification in a relevant discipline such as Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Special Education, Psychology or Paediatric Rehabilitation.

•⁠ ⁠Strong experience working with children with developmental delays, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication difficulties or related needs.

•⁠ ⁠Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment.

•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of child development and intervention planning.

•⁠ ⁠Good parent communication and counselling skills.

•⁠ ⁠Experience supervising junior therapists or educators.

•⁠ ⁠Strong documentation and reporting skills.

•⁠ ⁠Ability to build and manage a professional therapy team.

•⁠ ⁠Valuable spoken English and Bengali/Hindi would be an advantage.

•⁠ ⁠Applicable professional registration/certification wherever required.

Preferred

Candidates with experience in establishing or managing a child development centre, therapy centre, special school or multidisciplinary paediatric programme will be preferred.

This is a leadership position. We are looking for a hands-on professional who can combine clinical understanding with team management and parent engagement.

RCI and CRR registration mandatory.
