Role Description The CCTV Technician will work in a full-time remote role, supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV and related surveillance systems for client sites. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, assisting with system design, and guiding on cable routing, camera placement, and connectivity through remote coordination with onsite teams. The technician will remotely troubleshoot system issues, perform diagnostic checks, update firmware, and ensure proper integration with recording, monitoring, and network equipment.





This role also involves documenting configurations, preparing basic reports, and advising clients or field staff on best practices for system operation, safety, and data security. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and customer support teams is essential to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of CCTV systems, including IP and analog cameras, DVR/NVR setup, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with ELV and security systems (such as access control or intrusion detection) and familiarity with cabling and connectivity standards.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, layouts, and equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in remote troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and basic configuration of surveillance software and hardware.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with onsite technicians, clients, and internal teams in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail, adherence to safety and data privacy guidelines, and strong documentation practices.
- Prior experience as a CCTV or ELV technician, ideally in contracting or project-based environments.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, IT, or a related field is preferred.
