BigBasket is looking for a Recent Product Development Specialist to join our Homecare & Personal Care team.
About the Role The role will be responsible for driving new product development from concept to launch, understanding consumer needs and market trends, and working closely with suppliers, R&D; and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new product concepts based on market trends and consumer insights.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis and trend forecasting.
- Work with external R&D; teams on formulation, testing and product development.
- Manage the complete NPD process from concept to launch.
- Drive sales forecasting, margin calculations and launch plans.
- Work with Supply Chain, Marketing and Replenishment teams for successful launches.
- Manage packaging development, cost benchmarking and supplier negotiations.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard suitable suppliers/manufacturing partners.
- Ensure products meet relevant quality, safety, labelling and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor product performance and consumer feedback to drive improvements.
What We're Looking For
- 3 to 8 years of experience in NPD / Product Development.
- Experience in Homecare, Personal Care or Baby Care.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree
- Strong understanding of formulation, testing, packaging and supplier management.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with external manufacturers/R&D; partners will be an advantage.
