Application Assessment Consultant CAST Imaging

Location:Bangalore

Experience:5+ Years

Relevant Experience

Minimum 5+ years of experience in application assessment, software engineering, application architecture, or application modernization, with hands-on experience in CAST Imaging, application discovery, dependency analysis, and technical debt assessment.

Mandatory skills:

CAST Imaging + Application Discovery + Dependency Analysis + Application Architecture + Complexity Analysis + Technical Debt Assessment + Code Quality + Maintainability Analysis + SQL + Database Concepts + Java/J2EE or .NET/C# or Python or JavaScript/TypeScript or COBOL/Mainframe

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICATION ASSESSMENT CONSULTANT

Key Responsibilities

- Perform application assessments using CAST Imaging and related application analysis tools.
- Analyze application architecture, source code, interfaces, dependencies, and technology components.
- Perform application complexity, maintainability, and structural assessments.
- Identify technical debt, structural flaws, architectural risks, and modernization opportunities.
- Analyze application dependencies and interdependencies across systems and components.
- Generate application architecture, dependency, complexity, and technical debt reports.
- Evaluate code quality and maintainability using relevant assessment metrics.
- Support cloud migration, application modernization, and application transformation initiatives.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with application migration and modernization.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, solution architects, developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations for remediation, modernization, refactoring, and application transformation.
- Document assessment findings, technical observations,



dependencies, and recommendations.
- Support technical discussions and presentations related to application assessment and modernization.
- Analyze databases and application data dependencies using SQL and database concepts.

Who Can Apply?

- Candidates with 5+ years of experience in application assessment, software engineering, architecture, or modernization programs.
- Strong hands-on experience with CAST Imaging.
- Experience in application discovery and dependency analysis.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and application complexity.
- Experience assessing technical debt, code quality, and maintainability.
- Development experience in one or more technologies:

- Java/J2EE
- .NET/C#

- Python

- JavaScript/TypeScript

- COBOL/Mainframe
- Positive knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Application modernization and migration experience.
- Cloud transformation projects.
- DevOps and CI/CD knowledge.
- Enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise application portfolios.
- Experience preparing application modernization roadmaps.
- Knowledge of microservices and cloud-native architecture.

- Strong understanding of code quality and maintainability metrics.
- Development experience in at least one relevant technology stack.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Experience supporting application modernization or cloud migration is preferred.

Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
