Job Summary The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining cash and billing records, assisting customers during checkout, and ensuring a smooth payment process in the jewellery store. The role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies regarding cash handling and inventory security.

Key ResponsibilitiesCash Handling & Billing

- Process customer purchases through POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Accept payments through cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.
- Generate invoices, receipts, and billing documents accurately.
- Verify customer details for billing and warranty registration.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales transactions.

Financial Reconciliation
- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Prepare daily cash collection reports.
- Reconcile cash, card, and digital payment receipts with sales records.
- Report discrepancies immediately to the Store Manager.

Customer Service
- Greet customers professionally and assist them during the payment process.
- Address customer queries related to billing, payments, exchanges, and store policies.
- Ensure a pleasant and seamless checkout experience.
- Promote customer loyalty programs and ongoing store offers.

Compliance & Security
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling and fraud prevention.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and financial information.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company accounting procedures.
- Support stock verification and audit activities when required.





Administrative Support
- Maintain billing supplies and transaction records.
- Assist in preparing sales and collection reports.
- Coordinate with accounts and inventory teams for transaction-related issues.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- 1-3 years of cashiering or retail experience; jewellery retail experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and cash management.
- Proficiency in POS systems and MS Office applications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
