About the Role

We are looking for a versatile Camera Operator to join our production team. You will be the visual engine behind our core content, responsible for capturing high-quality video across multiple formats. From our large-scale debate segments (including milti-participant panels) to fast-paced field interviews and studio podcasts, your camera work will directly shape our journalism and digital storytelling.

Language profiencies: Kannada, English.

Key Responsibilities

- Multi-Cam Studio Production: Set up and operate cameras for in-studio podcasts and complex roundtable debate formats, ensuring explicit sightlines and consistent lighting across multiple speakers.
- Agile Field Shooting: Capture stable, well-composed footage during on-ground field interviews, political event coverage, and run-and-gun reporting.
- Equipment Management: Take ownership of gear prep, breakdown, and maintenance, including cameras, lenses, tripods, portable lighting, and field audio setups.
- Visual Adaptability: Shift seamlessly between framing shots for formal journalistic coverage and capturing more casual, high-energy content.
- Post-Production Handoff: Log and organize raw footage accurately for the editing team to ensure efficient post-production workflows.





Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Proven hands-on experience operating professional mirrorless, DSLR, or broadcast cameras in both studio and field environments.
- Craft & Eye: Solid grasp of exposure, focus pulling, framing, and fundamental lighting techniques.
- Production Experience: Familiarity with multi-camera synchronization and capturing clean audio in challenging field locations.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues on the fly and adapt to unpredictable field conditions (e.g., live events, crowds).
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills to collaborate with producers, editors, and on-screen talent.
