Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Camera Engineer to manage camera testing, troubleshooting, repair, deployment, Assemble, dismantle and field support for data capture and AI applications.

The candidate should be capable of independently diagnosing and resolving camera hardware, firmware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues, while taking complete ownership of technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble, configure, test, and maintain cameras as per SOPs and quality standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, software, power, connectivity, USB/Ethernet, cables, storage, and peripheral issues.
- Perform basic hardware debugging, replacement, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to capture teams and partners.
- Travel to partner/capture locations for deployment, troubleshooting, training, and field support.
- Train capture teams on camera setup, operation, handling, and basic troubleshooting.
- Run, modify, and troubleshoot Python scripts and diagnostic/automation tools.
- Work with Hardware, Firmware, Software, Product, and Operations teams to resolve complex issues.
- Support new product deployments, firmware updates, field testing, and validation.
- Maintain camera inventory, issue/repair records, configurations, and technical documentation.




- Identify recurring issues and proactively implement solutions to improve camera reliability and reduce downtime.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 25 years of hands-on experience in camera systems, electronics, hardware support, embedded systems, or field engineering.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Basic to intermediate Python knowledge.
- Understanding of USB, Ethernet/networking, power systems, sensors, and peripherals.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu, SSH, IP configuration, and firmware/device configuration is preferred.
- Ability to read logs and systematically identify root causes.
- Robust problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with 360 cameras, RGB/depth cameras, GoPro, ZED, Intel RealSense, or similar devices.
- Experience in AI/Computer Vision data collection or field operations.
- Experience with Python-based automation and diagnostic tools.
